“PA” stands for public address — a system that covers an area evenly. What sets it apart from two boxes on stands is not the volume but the tuning: tops and subwoofers are split by a controller, the desk provides clean channels for microphones and playback, and the positioning follows the area that needs covering.
That is why we hire out PA as a set and not as individual items in a basket. What belongs together arrives together: cabled, labelled and tested.

It is not the number of guests alone that decides, but the area and whether you are covering it outdoors or indoors. Outdoors there are no walls to reflect the sound — so the same number of guests needs more system.

What does it cost to hire a PA system in Frankfurt?
A compact PA set like the Bose 802 with bass and controller is 70.00 € net per day. A Celto sound system with tops, subwoofer and amplifier for a band or DJ is 220.00 € net per day. Add a mixing desk from 40.00 € net if you need one. With full service we add set-up, calibration and crew as a fixed price.
What is the difference between a PA system, a sound reinforcement system and speakers?
PA system and sound reinforcement system mean the same thing. Speakers are the boxes in it — columns, tops, subwoofers. Anyone searching for “speaker rental Frankfurt” and anyone searching for “PA system rental” lands with us on the same advice: which area needs to carry speech and music?
Can you also cover 2,000 people?
Yes. Self-collection sets typically cover up to around 400 guests. Beyond that we plan the PA as full service: scalable tops and subs, delay lines for deep halls, power and crew. Tell us the area, indoors or outdoors, and whether a band or speech comes first.
Which PA do I need for a summer party with 200 guests?
Outdoors there are no walls to reflect the sound — so a summer party needs more system than the same number of guests in a hall. For around 200 guests in the open we recommend a PA system with tops and subwoofer, for example the Celto sound system, plus a desk for hosting and DJ playback.
Is a standard mains socket enough for a PA system?
For compact sets up to about 150 guests usually yes, as long as they are on their own circuit. With larger systems running subwoofers and lighting at the same time a standard mains circuit gets tight — then we plan in three-phase power or a separate supply. Tell us in advance what is available on site.
Can I hire a PA system without a technician?
Yes. PA sets, desks and accessories are available as dry hire: reserve, collect in Offenbach, set up yourself. Everything comes cabled and labelled in a case. Allow enough load space — subwoofers and stands take more room than you would guess. For bands with monitoring we recommend full service.
Is a mixing desk included in the PA?
Not automatically, because it depends on how many channels you need. For hosting plus music a 12-channel desk at 40.00 € net per day is enough. For bands, panels and complex playback we recommend the Allen & Heath SQ5 with 48 channels and a scene for each item on the programme.
Do you need a permit for open-air sound reinforcement?
Noise control and curfews are the organiser's responsibility — we support you with the technical figures needed for that and plan the system so limits stay achievable. In Frankfurt it depends a lot on the location and the time of day.
How quickly is a PA system set up?
A compact set is standing in about an hour including soundcheck. A full PA system with subwoofers, monitoring and a band soundcheck needs half a day of rigging — depending on when the area becomes accessible.
