You know your event and you set up yourself. We give you equipment from our own warehouse, ready to plug in, in cases, with the right cables — and with a straight answer when you're not sure what fits.
For us, dry hire doesn't mean: here's a box, good luck. We check that your selection fits your plan before you collect it.
Dry hire — Trockenvermietung in German — means: you hire the equipment, we have it ready to plug in, and your team handles transport, setup and operation. It's the same equipment that stands on stage on our full-service projects. The difference isn't the quality, it's who sets it up.
It pays off if you know what you're doing: clubs with experienced volunteers, agencies with their own technical crew, companies with in-house technicians, DJs and bands. What we won't do: hand you a PA that's too small for your room just because it was in the basket. If the selection doesn't fit, we say so beforehand.

We deliberately didn't build an anonymous checkout. A short confirmation prevents the most common mistakes: a PA that's too small, a missing adapter, not enough power.
An honest overview. We earn more on full service — but an event that goes wrong costs us the recommendation.
| Your plan | Recommendation | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Club party, your own volunteers | Dry Hire | Setup is manageable, there's time, mistakes can be fixed |
| Band gig, your own engineer | Dry Hire | You know your sound better than any outside crew |
| Workshop with projector and microphone | Dry Hire | One source, one microphone — set up quickly |
| Company party with no technical experience | Full service | Nobody wants to stand behind the desk at their own party |
| Hybrid conference with a stream | Full service | Sound, image and stream interlock — without a safety net it gets risky |
| Award show, gala, stage programme | Full service | A schedule with cues, no second chance |
| LED wall, truss, rigging | Full service | We always handle structural load and certification ourselves |
These are the packages most often collected in person — ready to plug in, no training needed. The full stock with daily rates is in the rental shop.

Transport:Cases roll, but they aren't light. An estate car is enough for a column PA; for a system with subwoofers and stands you should plan for a van. Tell us beforehand what you're coming in — then we'll tell you whether it fits.
Power:Almost everything runs off standard mains sockets. What matters is the fusing: a system with two subwoofers plus lighting will trip a single 16 A circuit breaker quickly if the coffee machine is on it too. Check in advance how many separate circuits there are at the build location. For larger setups you'll need three-phase power — we'll advise on that.
Cables:The right cables and adapters go into the case, because that's what most dry hire evenings fail on. Tell us which devices you're playing in from — laptop, mixing desk, phone — and the right adapter will be ready.
Time buffer:Don't leave the setup to the last hour. Setting the levels on a wireless system for the first time takes longer than you think. And it's better to call before than in the middle of it.
A Frankfurt club held its summer party in the courtyard: 150 guests, speeches in the afternoon, live music in the evening. The volunteers build the stage and the marquee themselves every year — setting up technology was nothing new to them, they just didn't have a PA.
They collected a column PA with two wireless systems and a compact digital desk, ready to plug in, in cases. We had talked through beforehand where the speakers should stand in the courtyard so the neighbours wouldn't have to join the party. Cost: a fraction of full-service support. The party ran — and for the annual general meeting in the autumn they came back, that time with equipment and crew from us.
