How to choose
How much light does your event need?
Lighting technology does not scale on guest numbers alone, but on room height, wall colour and programme. These four levels describe what Frankfurt venues actually need — from a round of uplights to tightly cued show lighting.

Lighting design
What good lighting actually depends on
The equipment list is the easy part. Whether lighting works is decided by six factors settled before the rig goes up — during the site visit, not on the ladder.
Colour temperature
Warm light around 2,700 to 3,200 kelvin flatters skin and wood; cold light from 5,600 kelvin upwards reads as matter-of-fact. What matters is that stage light, ambience and the venue's existing lighting run at the same temperature — otherwise part of the room looks sickly.
Light direction
Front light makes faces readable, back light separates people from the background, side light shapes. Stage and camera need all three; a dinner needs ambience with a soft base light.
Fades and scenes
A lighting change that flips in two seconds reads as a mistake. We build scenes per agenda item and set fade times so the change feels led rather than switched.
For light to hang where it belongs, it needs a truss: we plan staging and rigging in the same pass.
Light for camera and stream
Cameras are less forgiving than the eye. Flicker-free fixtures, enough base brightness and a consistent colour temperature are what keep the streamed picture from turning grey.
Wall colour and ceiling height
A white wall gives colour back; dark wood swallows it. At four metres one uplight per bay is enough; at eight metres the same effect needs considerably more output.
Power and cable runs
Which circuit is where, what is already on it, and how does the cable get there without crossing an escape route? In listed venues this is often the reason battery fixtures are used.

Excellence Award at the Palmengarten
For the Excellence Award ceremony at the Palmengarten in Frankfurt, set design, runway and lighting came from a single source. The task: light a sensitive venue so that the award winners look good on the runway — in the room and in the photos — without the technology dominating the picture.
Solved with battery-powered ambient lighting in the guest area, cleanly contained front light on stage and runway, plus lighting states programmed to the schedule. No cable ducts running across the hall, no renegotiating with the in-house technicians.

Good to know
What does lighting technology cost in Frankfurt?
Ambient lighting with battery uplights starts in the low three-figure range per day, programmed show lighting with truss and an operator is well above that. You get a fixed-price quote with an equipment list.
Do you also do the lighting design or only rental?
Both. On request we develop a complete lighting design including programming and live operation — or provide rental fixtures only.
Is the lighting suitable for photo and video recordings?
Yes. We plan flicker- and glare-free light with the correct colour temperature, so that camera and live stream deliver clean images.
Can you display our company logo as a light projection?
Yes. With gobo and logo projection we put your brand logo or patterns razor-sharp onto walls, floors or the stage.
Can I rent lighting technology without a technician?
Yes. Battery uplights, DJ lighting sets and individual fixtures work as dry hire: reserve, collect in Offenbach, set up yourself. As soon as truss is flown or moving heads are programmed, we take that on ourselves — rigging is about structural calculations and safety.
How many uplights do I need for a hall?
As a rule of thumb, one uplight every three to four metres of wall, a little denser at alcoves and columns. For a typical Frankfurt event hall you are right with six to twelve fixtures. We work it out precisely for you from the room plan.
Do battery uplights last a whole evening?
Yes. Our battery fixtures run through a complete event in the usual colour states. We deliver them fully charged; for multi-day events we plan in charging windows or swap units.
Are we even allowed to set up lighting in a listed venue?
Usually yes, but without drilling, without adhesive fixings and often without permanent cable runs. That is exactly what battery fixtures are for. We clarify the requirements with the venue in advance and plan the set-up accordingly.
Does the hazer set off the smoke detectors?
A hazer creates a fine haze, not a wall of smoke — even so, the fire alarm system has to be agreed in advance. We handle the coordination with the venue and dose it so that beams become visible without the room looking murky.
Do you handle rigging and truss construction as well?
Yes. We plan and build truss structures, rigging and the necessary certification ourselves. That is deliberately not a dry hire offering.
